Andy Hessenthaler

Born in August 1965, Andy spent the early years of his playing career in non-league football with Corinthians, Dartford and Redbridge Forest. He then moved on to Watford and signed for Gillingham in 1996.

After ten years at Priestfield, including five as player-manager, Hess left for Hull and then a final year of professional football at Barnet. Hessenthaler became Whites' player-manager in May 2007.
