Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz signed for Dover Athletic in August 2011 from Aldershot Town.
Jaimez-Ruiz played 49 games for Aldershot in League Two and has gained experience of non-league football at Northwood in the Ryman League.
Mikhael moved to the United States as a teenager and played University soccer for Graceland University and St. Gregory's University. In 2004, he moved to Romania and played for Olimpia Gherla, CFR Cluj and Arieşul Turda.
Jamiez-Ruiz moved to England and signed for Barnet and Northwood before making an impact at Aldershot Town. He saved two penalties in the Conference League Cup Final in 2008, when the Shots beat Rushden & Diamonds.
The Venezuelan made his Football League debut in October 2008 and the following season he became the first choice goalkeeper at Aldershot.
Mikhael decided to return to Venezuela in 2010 to give himself a better chance of international football. He signed for club Yaracuyanos FC but was unable to adapt to life and football in his home country, so returned to England.
Aldershot's new manager re-signed him in February 2011 but he was released at the end of the season. Mikhael joined Dover following an injury to Lee Hook. He is almost certainly the club's first South American player.
