Powell began his career with Charlton Athletic, making his debut in an EFL Trophy match against Leyton Orient. Powell then moved onto Dulwich Hamlet, which included a loan spell at Maidstone United, when his contract at the Addicks expired.

Powell signed for Tonbridge Angels in the summer of 2023 but left without kicking a ball before joining us here at Crabble.
