Dover’s management duo of Richard Langley and Mark Patterson have moved to fill the void left by the departures of forwards Tommy Tyne and Michael Smissen by bringing in 20-year-old Jones Awuah on a month’s loan from First Division Gillingham.
Awuah, like previous loan signing Andrew Crofts and recent acquisition James Millar, is another player well known to coach Mark Patterson from his time at Gillingham.
Awuah made four first team appearances for the Gills in the Nationwide League last season but has been restricted to reserve team football this year. He will be in the squad for Dover’s match against Bath City tomorrow and could start alongside leading scorer Craig Wilkins if Richard Langley decides to move Matt Carruthers back to the right wing-back position.
