*BS*ANDY HESSENTHALER would like to set the record straight following speculation that he is set to sign Bromley striker Danny Hockton.

*BF*The Whites boss has this week been speaking to a prolific forward in non-league football who used to play in the professional ranks.

But Hess said: “I’ve not spoken to Danny Hockton or Bromley. Of course, he’s a quality player, but he’s at another club – and it would be unfair of me to talk about him.

“This story has come from a group of supporters on an internet forum – and I can state now that the player I have been talking to is not Danny Hockton.

“Unfortunately, he will not be in place by Saturday – as there are a few things that would need to be sorted before we would be in a position to sign him, as the lad is playing at another club at the moment.”

Hess has a fully-fit squad for the match against Ashford Town Middlesex on Saturday.
