*BS*SAMMY MOORE required 33 stitches at a hospital in Canterbury after he was elbowed in the face during the 3-2 win against Ashford Middlesex.

*BF*A facial surgeon put 30 stiches inside his mouth and another three outside – and the all-action midfielder is set to miss two weeks of action.

Sammy told doverathletic.com: “I’d like to thank the great supporters of this club for chanting my name and applauding when I was taken off today. I really appreciate it.

“I’ve had a bit of bad luck since coming here with a couple of knocks – but hopefully I’ll get more luck when I get back from this small setback.

“It was great the lads did the job and got three points in the top-of-the-table clash. We have a lot of belief we can do great things this season.”
