The FA Trophy

Steven Rigg

The striker is no stranger to the National League having spent last season with recently demoted Gateshead, scoring nine times in 44 matches last season.

He started his senior career with Penrith, where over 60 goals during his two seasons with the Northern League side saw him move into the Football League with League Two side Carlisle United.

Rigg featured 36 times for the Cumbrians and scored on his debut, before moving to Barrow on loan 16 months later.

Following his release by United, the forward moved across the border and signed for Scottish Championship side Queen of the South for one season, before returning to Carlise on a short-term deal with spells at Chorley, Workington and American side Erie Commodores FC of the National Premier Soccer League during the 2017/18 campaign.

Inih Effiong

Forward Effiong was Dover’s first summer signing in June 2018.

The Londoner made three appearances for Scottish Premiership side Ross County after signing from Woking for an undisclosed fee in January 2018.

Effiong joined Woking in May 2017 and scored on his debut in the 2-1 win against Gateshead on the opening day of last season.

He scored 10 goals for the Cards in 35 appearances before making the move to Scotland.

Before joining Woking, the 6ft 3ins forward played for Biggleswade Town in the Southern Premier League where he scored 23 goals in the first half of the 2016/17 season and that form earned him a move to Barrow AFC.

He started his career at St Albans City in 2008, and also had spells at Boreham Wood and Chesham United.

The 27-year-old finished the 2018/19 campaign as Athletic’s top scorer with 11 goals in all competitions, with his injury-time winner against Fylde at Crabble winning goal of the season.
