GOODMAN COMES OUT ON TOP

Jake Goodman has been voted the 2021/22 Supporters’ Player of the Season.

The big central defender finished ahead of midfielder Koby Arthur to win the award which is funded by the Dover Athletic Supporters Club.

Captain Ryan Hanson and teenage midfielder George Wilkinson finished in joint third place following the counting of voting slips handed in at the home games against Woking and Notts County.

The 28-year-old Goodman has made 37 appearances in all competitions for Andy Hessenthaler’s side since arriving last summer.

He has also scored four goals in the National League during this campaign and captained the side on eight occasions while Hanson was recovering from surgery.

Goodman will be presented with his trophy together with a cheque for £250 for the chosen charity of his choice, in the Centre Spot after our final home game, against Weymouth on May 15th.
