FORWARD ARRIVES ON LOAN

Dover Athletic have completed the loan signing of forward Michael Gyasi and he will go straight into the squad for tonight’s National League clash against Eastleigh at Crabble.

Gyasi, 21, joins us from fellow National League club, Kings Lynn Town, and will spend the remainder of the 2021/22 campaign with Andy Hessenthaler’s side.

The German-born Ghanaian attacker has made 34 National League appearances for the Linnets since joining them from St Ives Town in December 2020.

The former Chelsea and Leicester City Academy youngster appeared as a second-half substitute against us at The Walks last month.

Gyasi will wear the number 33 shirt while with us.

MATCH PREVIEW – DOVER VS EASTLEIGH

Andy Hessenthaler and his side return to Crabble tonight to play their first home game of 2022 after a run of four consecutive away games in the National League.

The match will see Hess go head-to-head with his former assistant at Eastleigh, Ben Strevens.

The last time the two sides met was at The Silverlake Stadium last September.

The hosts won 4-1, after leading 4-0 at half-time following goals from Ryan Hill, Harry Pritchard, Ben House, and Josh Hare.

AFC Wimbledon loanee, Aaron Cosgrave, reduced the deficit for Whites.

CURRY ON THE MENU

Bookings are now being taken for our two-course curry night in the VIP Platinum Suite for next Tuesday’s (January 25th) National League game against Eastleigh at Crabble.

This package costs £20 (plus the price of a matchday ticket for any non-season ticket holders) and on the menu will be chicken curry with rice and naan bread followed by apple tart and custard.

A vegetarian curry will also be available.

The experience includes:

  • Butler hosted lounge with large TVs and projector showing the game

  • A two-course meal served at your table

  • Reserved undercover premium padded seating

  • Complimentary tea, coffee & mineral water, plus dedicated paid bar before and after the match

Arrival at the ground should be at 6.15 pm and food will be served at  6.45pm.

There are only 64 spaces available, so all tickets will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis.

The dress code is smart casual.

GILLS LOANEE STAYING

Dover Athletic is delighted to confirm midfielder Henry Woods’ loan spell with the club from Gillingham has been extended until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old has made 21 appearances in all competitions for Andy Hessenthaler’s side, scoring once, since arriving from the League 1 club last July.

STOCKPORT TICKETS ON SALE

Stockport County has advised that tickets for our National League game at Edgeley Park on February 5th (3pm) are now on sale.
