VIDEO: MATCH REACTION

Maidstone United loanee Alfie Pavey scored our first goal of 2022 but it wasn’t enough to prevent hosts, Dagenham & Redbridge, from winning the National League clash 3-1 at The Chigwell Construction Stadium.

After the game, we spoke with coach Nicky Southall to get his reaction.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

A year of frustration, uncertainty, bad news, and difficulties that no one could have imagined – we are sure no one will be sad to say goodbye to 2021.

So as a new year beckons, all of us here at the football club would like to say a massive thank you for the support we have received over the past 12 months.

We have been humbled by the generosity of your donations through various fundraising initiatives and your continued support of our games at Crabble and away from home.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the new and existing sponsors and advertisers, who continue to support us in what is an extremely difficult time for everyone.

It is also an appropriate time to say thank you to our small team of volunteers, people who selflessly work hard behind the scenes to prepare for and deliver match days.

So whether you are a fan, a business that supports us, or a volunteer, we want to say that we really couldn’t do it without each and every one of you … thank you all.

Wherever you are in the world supporting the club, the Chairman, Directors, management, players, and staff would like to wish you all a very Happy and Healthy New Year.

Please stay safe out there!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

The Chairman, Directors, management, players, and staff of Dover Athletic Football Club would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

We would also like to thank you, our fans, for your continued support throughout the 2021/22 season in what was been the most challenging of years – it is very much appreciated by us all.

Our thanks must also go to our volunteers, who give their time so willingly, and our sponsors and commercial partners for their much-needed support.

Please enjoy a fantastic Christmas and cherish the time spent with loved ones.

Dover Athletic to support #NoHomeKit Campaign

Dover Athletic will be supporting homeless charity Shelter’s ‘No Home Kit’ campaign at our home game against Dagenham & Redbridge on Boxing Day.

We will be wearing our all-purple kit for the clash at Crabble to support the campaign, which is raising funds and awareness to help combat homelessness across the nation.

Homelessness has risen dramatically over the last decade. The pandemic has shown us the importance of having a safe home like never before – yet more than 180,000 households have been made homeless since March 2020. With a tough winter ahead even more people could lose their homes.

Shelter’s frontline services are working harder than ever to help people find and keep a home this Christmas, but they can’t do it alone.

The charity have asked for the football community to come together for the Boxing Day round of fixtures and ditch their home shirt and instead wear an away or third kit, in a powerful act of support and solidarity for people without a home.

The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of the scale of homelessness across the country and raise funds to support Shelter’s frontline services and its campaigns to end the housing emergency for good.

The club are proud to be supporting the campaign and supporters are encouraged to take part too by wearing their away shirts for the fixture.

RIP ANDY FISHER

All of us at Dover Athletic Football Club would like to express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Andy Fisher.

Andy, a life-long fan of the club and long-serving committee member of the Dover Athletic Supporters Club, has sadly passed away after a brave battle with cancer.

The 58-year-old father of six organised the coaches for supporters for our away games and travelled on them up and down the country in support of his beloved club.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Andy’s wife Donna, his children, his extended family, and friends at this very sad and difficult time.

Rest in peace, Andy, and thank you for your incredible support over many, many years.
