BE PART OF OUR FABRIC

Dover Athletic Football Club is delighted to unveil a 2021/22 season commemorative Supporters Shirt, which will proudly bear the names of all who purchase it sublimated into the fabric.

The one-off, limited edition shirt will provide a unique keepsake for those wearing it with pride on the terraces, as well as providing much-needed funds for the club in our hour of need with a £40K fine to pay.

The exclusive shirt is only available via pre-order for £50 from the club shop and will not be available for general purchase.

Supporters wanting to see their name featured on the shirt will have a strict deadline of 5pm on July 17 to secure their place in our club history.

Unfortunately, due to manufacturing timelines, we are unable to accept any orders received after this deadline.

The shirt is manufactured by local company, Ambition Sport, and is a regular fit with adult sizes from small to 4XL available.

We are in this together so let’s go Black and White Army !!

He joined the Spitfires from Coventry City in 2016 and made 85 appearances for them, scoring nine times.

WILLIAMSON SIGNS ON

Manager Andy Hessenthaler has completed his second signing of the day with the arrival of former Bromley forward Ben Williamson.

Williamson left the Ravens earlier this month after joining them from fellow National League side Eastleigh in November 2019.

He went on to make 52 appearances for our Kent rivals, scoring five times, including the goal that secured Bromley’s play-off spot after beating Notts County 1-0 last month.

The Lambeth-born front-man is no stranger to Hess, having spent three years with the Spitfires, including when our manager was there.

Williamson joined Eastleigh from Cambridge United in August 2017 and scored 19 times in 102 appearances.

The 32-year-old arrives at Crabble with a wealth of Football League experience.

Apart from his time with Cambridge United, he’s also played for AFC Bournemouth, Port Vale, and Gillingham.

Welcome to Crabble, Ben !!

MILLER’S BACK AT CRABBLE!!

Dover Athletic Football Club is excited to announce the signing of striker Ricky Miller.

The 32-year-old returns to Crabble as Manager Andy Hessentahler’s first summer signing after leaving fellow National League side Aldershot Town earlier this month.

Our new number 9 joined the Shots in January and made 22 appearances, scoring three goals, during his time with them.

Miller originally joined us from Luton Town in June 2015 and went on to score 68 goals in 101 appearances before leaving for League One club Peterborough United in 2017.

Since then he has played for Mansfield Town (loan) and Port Vale before joining Aldershot.

In his final season at Crabble, Miller was named National League Player of the Year,  DAFC Players’ Player of the Season, the Supporters Player of the Season, and the Golden Boot after he finished the season with 46 goals, including 40 in the National League.

Miller’s stunning goal tally in his final season here included five league hat-tricks –  including one in his farewell appearance at Barrow on the final day of the season to help Whites to a 3-2 win.

Since then he has played for Mansfield Town (loan) and Port Vale before joining Aldershot.

Welcome home, Ricky!!

WALLIS AND BROWNING BACK TO PLAY

Jon Wallis and Lee Browning are the two latest names to be added to Manager Andy Hessenthaler’s Invitational XI in the fundraising match against the supporters’ teams at Crabble on August 8th.

Midfielder/right-back Wallis played 137 games for us, including 12 while on loan from from Hereford United, before leaving in 2011.

Striker Browning appeared in 78 games before joining Tonbridge Angels ahead of the 2010/11 season.

The pair will join former Adam Birchall, Frannie Collin, Matt Carruthers, Nathan Elder, James Strouts, Craig Stone, Craig Cloke, Lee Shearer, Sammy Moore, Connor Essam, and James Rogers in the squad.

The match, which kicks-off at 1pm, will also see Hess and Nicky Southall return to the playing field.

If you are keen to play against them, here’s how to do it.

Two teams of supporters will play – one in the first half before the other plays the second, meaning 22 spots are available for anyone aged 17 and over.

Those interested in playing need to bid on what team they would like to play for, first or second half, and what position they want to play.

Bidding originally started at £50, but due to the overwhelming response we’ve had, the cheapest outfield bid is currently at £70.

Included in that price will be your official match shirt – a replica, regular fit, blue Kappa one – which you will keep.

Goalkeepers will also get an official shirt too.

If anyone would like to be the manager for the supporters’ teams on the day and sit in the dugout etc, they can bid on that too!

In order to submit a bid, simply email richard.harvey@doverathletic.com with your maximum bid amount, shirt size, position you want to play, which half, and the best contact number you can be reached on.

If you are outbid, we will contact you.

Don’t delay, bid today and support your club.
