MEET THE MANAGER EVENING

Come and meet the new manager up at the Megger Community Stadium.

Mitch Brundle became the youngest manager in the top six divisions in England when he replaced the outward departing Andy Hessenthaler last month and he is giving you the opportunity to come and meet him in the Centre Spot on Thursday 9th February.

The event will start at 7PM and will give fans the opportunity to meet the new gaffer as well as ask him any questions you may have. Unfortunately questions can only be asked in person and not in advance.

The bar will also be open and we look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.

EUROPEAN DARTS CHAMPION ROSS SMITH VISITS CRABBLE

Can Dover hit the bullseye against Worthing with Ross Smith in attendance?

Local lad Ross Smith will be in the Centre Spot prior to kick off on Tuesday night before our match against Worthing. Smith, who won his first major televised final by beating the now World Champion Michael Smith 11-8 back in October, will be happy to take autographs with a special page in the matchday programme designated to the champ and a space for you to grab his signature.

Smith will also be signing a shirt and a set of darts of which there will be a raffle. Tickets can be brought on the evening in the Centre Spot so keep your eyes peeled for these. We hope to see as many of you as we can as Ross is from the Dover area and we like to celebrate our own.

Well done Ross, carry on the good work and we look forward to seeing you on Tuesday.

HESS LEAVES CRABBLE

Dover Athletic Football Club can today confirm the departure of manager Andy Hessenthaler, who leaves the club by mutual consent after his contract was cancelled, with immediate effect.

Hessenthaler returned to Crabble for a second time 15 games into the 2018/19 campaign following the departure of Chris Kinnear.

Mitch Brundle and Mike Sandmann will take joint interim charge of the team for the next few games, starting at Hungerford Town on Saturday, whilst we consider a more permanent structure for the future.

Chairman Jim Parmenter said: “Andy has given terrific service to the Club and assisted me in navigating some very difficult times.

“I wish to place on record our gratitude for his efforts, understanding, and hard work during his time at the Club.

“He is a man of integrity and decency, and I am sure he will be successful in his next role.

“We remain good friends and Hess will be welcome at Crabble at any time.”

Everyone at the club wishes Andy all the very best for the future.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The Chairman, Directors, management, players, and staff of Dover Athletic Football Club would like to wish you all a very happy and healthy New Year.

So whether you are a fan, a business that supports us, or a volunteer, we want to say that we really couldn’t do it without each and every one of you, so thank you one and all.
