RANSOM STAYING

We are delighted to announce that Millwall defender Harry Ransom’s loan spell with us has been extended until May 31st.

The 21-year-old centre-half arrived from the Championship side in October and made his debut in the National League season opener against Notts County at Crabble

Ransom has made seven appearances for us in all competitions to date, scoring once.

DEFENDER LEAVES CRABBLE

We can confirm that Watford loanee Bayli Spencer-Adams has returned to his parent club.

The centre-half made 10 appearances in all competitions for Andy Hessenthaler’s side after making his debut in the 2-0 National League defeat at Torquay United on October 17th.

We wish Bayli all the best for his future career and thank him for his efforts whilst with us.

MATCH PREVIEW: DOVER VS SOLIHULL MOORS

Whites are back in action on Saturday as they welcome Solihull Moors to Crabble in Vanarama National League.

Andy Hessenthaler’s side will look to bounce back from last Saturday’s 3-1 defeat to Wrexham where, despite being level at half-time thanks to Ahkeem Rose’s equaliser, two second-half goals condemned Whites to their ninth league loss of the season.

The Solihull Moors fixture was meant to be played in December, however, it was postponed due to COVID-19 in Whites’ camp.

The game was then rescheduled to take place on February 2nd, but with both sides having a free Saturday and with fixtures building up due to further postponements, the National League made the decision to bring the fixture forward.

Whites still sit bottom of the league, however, our home point against Boreham Wood moved us two points behind Barnet and Weymouth who sit 22nd and 21st respectively.

A win for Dover will see them move above both sides if each fail to get a result in their respective fixtures.

The Moors currently sit 12th in the league table having won seven of their 13 games played so far this campaign. They sit a point outside the playoffs and a win could see them move as far up as fifth if results go their way.

It was honours even in this fixture last season after a Jamey Osborne free-kick denied what would’ve been a third consecutive victory for Dover.

Inih Effiong put Whites ahead early on, however, Osborne equalised midway through the first half as the points were shared.

Solihull Moors’ Player to Watch

Jimmy Ball is the top scorer for The Moors this season with four goals in nine games. He also scored in Solihull’s 3-2 defeat to Aldershot Town in the FA Trophy on Tuesday night.

LOAN KEEPER DEPARTS

Tom Smith’s loan with Dover Athletic has ended and the young goalkeeper has returned to his parent club, Arsenal.

The 18-year-old joined the club in October and made his debut in the FA Cup defeat at Yeovil Town later that month.

He then played in the National League games against Eastleigh, Woking, and Altrincham.

We would like to thank Tom for his efforts while with us and we would like to wish him all the very best in the future.

PALACE GOALKEEPER JOINS

Manager Andy Hessenthaler added to his squad with the arrival of Crystal Palace goalkeeper Oliver Webber on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old will go straight into the squad for Saturday’s National League game against Solihull Moors at Crabble.

Portsmouth-born Webber, who will wear the No.26 shirt, is also a Northern Ireland international, making his debut in the Under-21 Euro Qualifier against Ukraine last November.

He joined the Premier League club back in 2016 from Irish League club Glentoran.

Welcome to the club Ollie!!
