HELP US FIGHT DISEASE

*BS*DOVER ATHLETIC are supporting a charity to help fight Motor Neurone Disease

*BF*Former Whites director and lifeling fan Dennis Hammond – who was one of the board members that helped take the club up to the Conference – has been diagnosed with this awful disease and is currently very ill.

Motor neurone diseases are a group of progressive neurological disorders that destroy motor neurones, the cells that control voluntary muscle activity such as speaking, walking, breathing and swallowing.

We would like to ask all fans to hand over any old mobile phones, or make a cash donation, to help this charity.

The Motor Neurone Disease Association will receive £3.50 from each phone they receive towards identifying research for a cure and treatment and also supporting families suffering from the disease at present.

Phones will be accepted over the bar at the matches at Crabble this week, and Joe Lowney will be accepting phones in the club shop throughout the summer.

Also if people wish to collect phones within their workplaces, please send us an email at [email protected]

Please spread the word and help our appeal so we can help fight this awful disease.
