TAYLOR AGREES TO STAY

We are delighted to announce that Bobby-Joe Taylor has signed two-year deal to stay at Crabble.

The 24-year-old midfielder, who will wear the number three shirt, made 27 appearances for us last season after making his debut in the National League clash at Braintree Town last October.

Taylor initially joined us on loan from Bromley before signing a deal to stay with us until the end of the season following his release from the Ravens in November.

The former Chelsea and Gillingham youngster joined Bromley from Aldershot Town in May 2018.

Taylor has also represented England C twice and played 25 games for Aldershot after arriving from Maidstone United in June 2017.

He spent two years at the Gallagher Stadium after joining from Cambridge United in July 2015 and made 42 appearances.

Make sure you keep checking the club’s official website and social media channels for all the latest news!

The forward netted his first goals of the season in Andy Hessenthaler’s first match back in charge of Whites’, a 2-2 draw away to Harrogate back in October.

The award was presented by the Supporter’s Club at the final whistle.

PREVIEW: WHITES V SUTTON

It’s the season finale this Saturday lunchtime as Athletic aim to continue their impressive form.

Three points at Crabble would see Andy Hessenthaler’s men extend their current winning streak to four matches and make it nine National League matches without defeat.

Sutton United play their first game since the resignation of boss Paul Doswell earlier this week.  Having temporarily stepped down from his role last month to take a break from football, Doswell announced his permanent departure from Gander Green Lane for personal reasons.

Current interim manager Ian Baird will remain in charge for Saturday’s match.

Home fans might recognise a familar face in the visiting squad this weekend.

Defender Aswad Thomas played 68 times for Dover during two seasons, scoring five goals.
