PREVIEW: WHITES V GILLINGHAM
Dover play host to League One opposition this Saturday as Crabble’s new turf is put to the test for the first time.
Chris Kinnear’s men will showcase their talents on the state-of-the-art-hybrid pitch, a close season gift from the Chairman Jim Parmenter and his wife Sally, as they continue their preparations ahead of a National League campaign that starts on Saturday August 4th with a home game against Wrexham.
And Athletic will be hoping to bounce back from a recent friendly defeat in Essex.
On Wednesday night, Whites lost to National League South Chelmsford City by a single goal in injury-time, to add to a draw at Folkestone Invicta and wins at Hythe Town and Deal Town.
Visitors Gillingham play Ebbsfleet United at the same time on Saturday and will bring a side featuring a mix of first teamers, young pros and reserve team players.
The Gills pre-season has seen them play Sheppey (Won 7-1), Folkestone (1-1), Bromley (Won 5-1), Faversham (Won 2-0), Margate (3-3), Tonbridge (Won 5-1) and Dartford (Won 3-0) so far.
The game kicks-off at 3pm at admission is as follows:
Adults: £10
Under 11s / Season ticket holders: Free

AWAY TRAVEL
There is a coach travelling to Bromley on Tuesday 7th August and it is not too late to book your space on it!
It leaves Crabble at 5pm and the prices are as follows:
Adult members £15, adult non-members £30, youth (Under 18) £10 and accompanied child (Under 16) £5.
There is also a coach going to Gateshead at on Saturday 11th August at 6:15am and the prices are:
Adult members £40, Adult non-members £55, Youth (Under 18) £25 and Accompanied child (Under 16) £20.

TEEING UP FOR CHARITY
A team representing Dover Athletic hit the fairways and greens of Canterbury Golf Club in aid of Donations With A Difference, a charity run by six voluntary trustees, one of which is the club’s Finance Director, Simon Gretton.
The event raised a fantastic £12K which will go to the charities grant fund https://dwad.org/
We are proud to announce that as the new season starts it will also welcome in the inception of the Dover Athletic Community Trust.
The trust will host a few events to launch and raise funds explicitly for the community initiatives of the next 12 months.
One of these will be our first DACT Charity Golf Day at Canterbury Golf Club.on 11th September.

PREVIEW: CHELMSFORD V WHITES
Dover continue preparations for their upcoming National League League season when they visit Chelmsford City on Wednesday night.
Chris Kinnear’s men extended their unbeaten pre-season run in 2018 to three matches, drawing 1-1 with neighbours Folkestone Invicta on Saturday to add to wins at Hythe Town and Deal Town.
National League South side City have also played three friendly fixtures so far, beating Cheshunt and Grays Athletic and most recently losing 4-1 to League Two Cambridge United.
The game kicks-off at 7:45 at admission is as follows:
Adults: £10
Concessions: £5

GALLIFUOCO DEPARTS
Defender Giancarlo Gallifuoco has informed the club that he will not be returning to Crabble.
The Australian joined Whites last summer and made 45 appearances, scoring five times.
We thank him for his efforts while at the club and wish him well for the future.
