*BS*Dover Athletic are pleased to announce that as part of their ongoing efforts in the local Community they will be donating a total of £2000 to local good causes.*BF*

The club have successfully applied for a share of money raised by the 2011 FA Community Shield, which has been made possible by Whites’ excellent run in the FA Cup last year.

A section of the fund is available to the 124 clubs that played in the 1st round proper of the FA Cup in 2011/12.

Local *BS*Charities Pilgrim Hospices*BF* and *BS*Demelza Hospice Care for Children*BF* will both receive £1000 each. Cheques will be presented to representatives from both charities prior to this Saturday’s game against Boreham Wood.

Chairman Jim Parmenter said: “We are very happy to be able to support two very important local causes, thanks to our successful application to the FA Community Shield fund.

“As part of our ongoing commitment to the local community, we hope to be able to continue to supporter local good causes in this way.”
