DOVER ATHLETIC 0 WELLING UNITED 0

Whites held in stalemate.

It was all one way traffic in the opening 45 minutes with the home side dominating the visitors but were unable to find the net.

Luke Wanadio, match winner from last week, had a couple of attempts but Kai McKenzie in the Welling goal was equal to them. The Wings keeper had a busy first half including a low dive to his right to keep out a shot from Freddie Oliver.

Dover were knocking on the door but it wasn’t quite opening time just yet.

The Whites lost attacking full-back Myles Judd who picked up an injury on the half hour mark and was unable to continue, being replaced by David Boateng.

Dover were knocking on the door but it wasn’t quite opening time just yet, despite creating a raft of chances.

It was a similar story in the second half with the Whites having the lion share of the possession but were unable to find a way through. In what seems to be common theme in this second half of the campaign, we are just not clinical enough in the final third.

It was a clean sheet and another point on the board. We now head to Dartford on Monday.
