HANSON RECOVERING AFTER SURGERY

Dover Athletic Football Club can confirm captain Ryan Hanson underwent emergency surgery for a non-football-related condition at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital on Monday evening.

The 21-year-old midfielder was taken ill at home before being taken by ambulance to Ashford’s William Harvey Hospital – he was later transferred to Canterbury for surgery.

The procedure went well and Ryan, who faces up to three weeks out, is now resting and recuperating at home with his family.

Needless to say, everyone at the club sends Ryan their best wishes for a full and speedy recovery.

LOAN EXTENDED

We are delighted to confirm that our loan deal of Maidstone United forward Alfie Pavey has been extended for another month,

The 26-year-old has scored four times since arriving at Crabble for initially a month in late November.

Pavey was due to return to his parent club after the 3-1 National League defeat against Grimsby Town at Crabble last Saturday but due to new rules,  short-term loans involving two National League clubs can now be extended beyond 93 days.
