WILD WEATHER HITS CRABBLE

A massive clean-up is underway at Crabble after it was battered by the brutal weather of late.

Trees were uprooted and smashed through the perimeter fence, just missing the VIP Lounge, while numerous perimeter advertising boards were ripped from their positions to leave a trail of debris.

NEW FORWARD FOR HESS

Manager Andy Hessenthaler has added to his attacking options with the arrival of former West Ham United forward Djair Parfitt-Williams on a non-contract basis.

The 25-year-old, who will wear the number 34 shirt for us, featured twice for the West Ham first team against Lusitanos of Andorra in the Europa League qualifiers in 2015 and was an unused substitute in four Premier League matches.

He was also a member of the Hammers team that won the Under-21 Premier League Cup during the 2015-16 season.

West Ham won the first leg of the two-legged final 1-0 at home, with Parfitt-Williams coming off the bench to score the winner.

Parfitt-Williams spent six years with the Hammers before making the move to Slovenia after signing for top-flight side NK Rudar Velenje in February 2018, helping the team to qualify for the Europa League.

He then joined Icelandic side Fylkir in February 2020 and spent two years with them before returning to the UK.

Welcome to the club, Djair!!
