When you join The Striker, you’ll be given a unique number. Each week, so long as you have paid your weekly subscription, your number will be entered into a draw. If your number is drawn, congratulations – you’re a winner! It’s as simple as that. The draw is held on Wednesday afternoon. Keep an eye on the local press for full details. Who knows, your number could scoop the £1,000 top prize.

Just £1 a week is all it costs to become a member of The Striker. Please note that only paid-for tickets are entered in the draw. For your convenience, your membership fee can be collected from you, or you can pay at the Club Office or, to save time, you can pay monthly or quarterly by standing order.

*BS**IS*What are the prizes?*IF**BF*
Each week, we draw a number of prizes. The top prize is £1,000, plus there’s a string of cash consolation prizes, ranging from £50 to £10.

*BS**IS*What happens to the proceeds?*IF**BF*
Naturally, we use the proceeds to fund the weekly cash prizes and a small element is used to cover certain expenses. But we put the surplus to good use. Chris Kinnear’s men start the season with a trip to Wrexham on Saturday August 6th – a side they beat twice last season – before hosting home matches against Boreham Wood and newly-promoted North Ferriby United on Tuesday August 9th and Saturday August 13th respectively.

Then follows the club’s first midweek away trip, away at Eastleigh on Tuesday August 16th.

Whites’ second-longest trip of the season, away at Gateshead, is scheduled for Saturday October 8th.

The first Kent derby of the club’s season will be at Crabble on Tuesday October 25th, with Bromley the visitors – and it’s also an all-Kent affair over Christmas, with Whites hosting Maidstone United at Crabble on Boxing Day, before making the trip to the county town on New Year’s Day.

Kinnear’s side return to Prenton Park to face Tranmere Rovers on Saturday March 11th, before finishing the regular season with their longest trip of the season – away at Barrow.

Whites’ friendly away at Welling United, originally scheduled for the same date, will be rescheduled with a new date announced once confirmed.

Please note, due to the ongoing Family Stand development, all pre-season friendlies will be segregated.

QUIZ NIGHT

MEDIA VOLUNTEERS

*BS*Dover Athletic are looking for volunteers to provide help to the club’s media output, primarily with our matchday magazine and on our social media channels.*BF*

We are looking to further extend our media offering for the 2016/17 season, and are keen to hear from supporters who feel they could contribute to this.

Opportunities are available in a number of areas – for our matchday magazine, you would be expected to assist with writing articles, updating statistics and conducting interviews, whilst for our social media output you would be needed to update news as and when required, and generally help to raise the profile of the club online.

In addition, we are looking into increasing our video output online, and are keen to hear from supporters who feel they have strengths in this area.

These positions contribute to what we put in front of our supporters, so a high degree of trust and professionalism is required and you will also need to have a strong grasp of the English language.

If you are interested, please e-mail [email protected], including any information or skills that may make you stand out from the crowd.

Successful applicants will be invited along to further discuss the role prior to one of the club’s pre-season friendlies in the coming weeks.
