PREVIEW: WHITES VS GUISELEY

DOVER have played Guiseley three times and the record against the Lions is an impressive one.

Whites have won two of the encounters without conceding a goal while last season’s corresponding game at Crabble ended in a 0-0 draw.

It goes without saying that Dover will be aiming to keep that record intact when the Yorkshire come calling on Saturday (3pm).

Guiseley arrive in second last place on the National League ladder after winning just their third game of the season last week, 2-0 at home against Torquay United.

Dover are sixth and 21 points ahead of today’s visitors, but assistant boss Jake Leberl says that statistic counts for little.

He said: “Last seasonƒ??s games against them were tough and today will be even harder, especially with having played our FA Cup tie against Cambridge United less than 48 hours ago.

“We had the same problem against Boreham Wood in March where the lads just could not get going as they were dead on their feet.

“However, if our players want to be successful in this sport, then these are the types of challenges they will need to overcome.”
