VIDEO: MANAGER REACTION

Andy Hessenthaler has his say following Whites’ 3-2 home defeat to Harrogate Town on Saturday.

LOKKO WINS LEAGUE AWARD

Defender Kevin Lokko has been named the Vanamara National League Player of the Month for January.

The 23-year-old, who made the move to Crabble from League 2 Stevenage on a two-year deal last June, has made 26 appearances this season.

An England C international, our No.5 has scored an impressive six goals so far this season and is our second leading scorer, just two behind striker Inih Effiong.

Many congratulations Kevin from all of us at the club.

WINGER HEADS OUT ON LOAN

Winger Kadell Daniel has joined National League South side Margate on loan until March 9th.

The 24-year-old, who re-signed for us in June 2018 after making 39 appearances in his debut season with the club in the 2017/18 campaign, has featured 17 times this season.

His last appearance was in the FA Trophy win at Havant & Waterlooville last month.

We wish him all the best in his time at Hartsdown Park.

PREVIEW: WHITES V HARROGATE

Dover welcome their North Yorkshire opponents to Crabble for a second time this year, though boss Andy Hessenthaler will be wanting a different result on Saturday.

Harrogate were 2-1 victors in the FA Trophy tie on 12th January.  Inih Effiong had Athletic ahead early on, however a strike in each half from Jack Muldoon sent Simon Weaver’s men into the third round.

Currently three points above the bottom four and having played at least one more match than the teams below them, Whites’ will be looking to secure a first win in three National League matches on Saturday.

Harrogate themselves will be aiming to address their away league form, with their last victory on the road five games ago – a 2-1 win at Maidenhead United.

Boss Andy Hessenthaler speaks to the camera following Whites 2-1 home defeat to Gateshead on Saturday.

DEFENDER GOES ON LOAN AGAIN

Left-back Jack Connors has joined National League South side Hampton & Richmond Borough for a third loan spell this season.

The 24-year-old initially joined the Beavers last October, playing 14 games and scoring twice, before returning to Crabble last month.

He will now stay with Hampton until the end of the season.

Connors joined us last summer and made 10 appearances in the National League  after making his debut in the season-opener against Wrexham at Crabble.

PREVIEW: WHITES V GATESHEAD

Dover will be aiming to get back to winning ways after two consecutive league draws and go into Saturday’s match with an impressive home record against the Heed.

Whites have won the last four meetings between the two sides at Crabble, including a thrilling 3-2 win back in April to keep Athletic’s slim play-off hopes alive at the end of last season.

Gateshead have a stat of their own they will be looking to eradicate with the Tyne and Wear side arriving in Kent still searching for their first victory of 2019.

However, Ben Clark, installed as manager last month following Steve Watson’s decision to join National League North York City, has yet to taste defeat with draws against Salford City and Boreham Wood in his two games in charge.

Clark has some Premier League experience he can call upon this weekend in the form of Mike Williamson.

The 35-year-old defender, who made his debut for Gateshead in a 2-1 win against Dover back in August, featured 134 times for Newcastle United in England’s top flight and was appointed as Heed player / coach last month.
