*BS*Dover Athletic look to make it four wins in ten days as they host a title contenders Grimsby Town at Crabble on Tuesday.*BF*
Whites defeated play-off hopefuls Gateshead last Saturday thanks to a fantastic Connor Essam volley – his second goal since that famous 0-1 win at Cheltenham Town in the FA Cup second round in December.
Grimsby Town, also known as The Mariners, are in fine form having won five and drawn one of their last six matches, including a 1-3 win at Barnet courtesy of two goals in the final minute of the match and are chasing down Bristol Rovers and Barnet above them.

Goalkeeper Mitch Walker kept his first clean sheet of the season last Saturday in an injury hit campaign for him.
Dan Holman was an unused substitute having missed four games with an injury and is expected to remain on the bench against Grimsby.
*Link1* could make his debut for Whites having signed for the club yesterday.
Mariners top scorer Lenell John-Lewis has 14 to his name this season and is expected to start up-front against Dover.
*BS*Opposition form*BF*
Third placed Grimsby look set to maintain their play-off position at the very least with just seven games to play.
Last Saturday the Mariners beat Eastleigh 2-1 courtesy of Ollie Palmer’s fifth goal of the season and a Lenell John-Lewis strike with just 12 minutes to play.
After Tuesday’s game, Grimsby only play one team in the top 10 (Gateshead) so they will fancy their chances of hunting down Barnet and Bristol Rovers having one eight of their last 11 matches.
The visitors to Crabble have the second meanest defence in the league having only conceded 34 times in the league to date. Only Bristol Rovers have conceded less (32).
*Lpic1*Grimsby suffered play-off heartache last season losing 4-2 in the semi-final to Gateshead on aggregate.
The season before, The Mariners also fell at the first hurdle of the play-offs, this time losing to eventual play-off winners Newport County.
*BS*Earlier this season*BF*
Whites travelled to Blundell Park way back in August for their third game of the Vanarama Conference and came away with their first points of the season *Link2*.
Despite going a goal behind with just 15 minutes left to play, Matt Lock, who recently parted company with the club, scored a dramatic late equaliser which ensured Dover’s first point and goal of the season.
However it could have been even better for Whites – Jake Reid was fouled inside the box in the dying seconds, but Christian Nanetti missed the resulting penalty which meant the points would be shared.

Dover have had an impressive home record on Tuesday nights this season. Winning seven and drawing one excluding Kent Senior Cup.
Whites will remain in 10th place regardless of the score against Grimsby, however a win would see Dover just seven points adrift of the play-offs.

*BS*Dover Athletic are pleased to announce the signing of central defender Joe O’Cearuill. The 28-year-old has won two caps for the Republic of Ireland and signed his first professional contract for Premier League side Arsenal.*BF*
O’Cearuill signed youth contracts at Leyton Orient and Watford before being offered a professional deal with Arsenal, and played in the first ever match at the Emirates Stadium – Dennis Bergkamp’s testimonial against Ajax.
He was also named as a substitute for The Gunners’ League Cup tie against West Bromwich Albion in 2006.
The defender was loaned out to Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2007 and was then called up to Ireland’s squad for the end-of-season tour of America, making his senior debut as a substitute against Ecuador and then starting the following game against Bolivia.
He went on to play 15 times for Barnet and had a spell with St Patrick’s Athletic in Dublin before returning to England to play for a number of teams, including Forest Green Rovers and Bishops Stortford. Most recently, O’Cearuill has been playing for Heybridge Swifts but his move to Crabble underlines his desire to return to the professional game.
Before playing for Swits, O’Ceaurill joined Haringey Borough in August 2012 and played over 100 times for the club, and played virtually every game in their record breaking 2014 achievements when they won 38 of their 41 matches, conceding only 28 goals in the process.
We wish Joe a warm welcome to Crabble and hope he enjoys his time with the club.
The defender will wear the number 18 shirt at Dover.

*BS*Connor Essam’s spectacular goal secured Dover Athletic a third consecutive Vanarama Conference win with victory over Gateshead at Crabble on Saturday.*BF*
Nick Deverdics’ tackle inside the Tynesiders’ six-yard box saw the ball loop over the area and into Essam’s path who struck a sweet first-time volley off the post and in.
Chances were few and far between but Essam’s wonder strike deservedly clinched the three points and sees Whites just 10 points off the play-off positions.
*Q1*Chris Kinnear’s side entertain Grimsby Town next on Tuesday evening, and the manager was pleased with another excellent performance at Crabble.
“I thought it was absolutely outstanding today and the players did great,” said Kinnear, “we set it up for the second half by breaking them down a bit in the way that we played. We really were the better side today.
“I didn’t want to make a sub as everyone had worked so hard – I just could not change it! We have got such good balance and though individually Gateshead’s players are probably better than ours, it really shows how important to have the right players on the pitch to win games.”
