*BS*Dover Athletic travel to Princes Park on Tuesday evening as they take on Dartford in an important Kent derby in the Vanarama Conference Premier.*BF*
Whites suffered back-to-back defeats at Crabble last week – losing 3-0 to Barnet in front of the BT Sport cameras before falling to a 1-0 defeat to Macclesfield Town on Saturday.
Those two defeats saw Dover fall four places from 16th to 20th – which sees them linger only one point above their opposition in 21st.
A win for Whites could see them retake the position where they left off a week ago but could fall in the bottom four if they are defeated.
*Q1*Despite the significance surrounding this game, manager Chris Kinnear believes it’s too early to consider this fixture ‘a six-pointer’ at this stage of this season as there are still 37 league games to play this season.
Speaking to DAFCtv following his side’s 1-0 loss to Macclesfield, Kinnear said: “It’s a Kent derby; it will be all-action, everyone will be working hard. It could go either way. Hopefully we come out with the points but again we’ve got to keep our heads and get on with it.
“We knew when we came in it was going to be a learning process. Fortunately for Dartford they’ve been in there for a few years so they probably know the league a little bit better to us.”
*Ppic1*Still missing for Whites is Ricky Modeste who is still carrying the injury suffered in his side’s 2-1 win against Eastleigh last month while Kinnear stated he is unsure if Luton Town-loanee Solomon Taiwo will feature as he is carrying a hamstring injury.
They face a Dartford side who are currently enjoying their third season at this level after they were promoted via the Conference South play-offs in 2012 – defeating Welling United 1-0 in the final in a Kent derby.
The Darts enjoyed a superb first season back in the Conference after a 16-year absence as they finished 8th, however they suffered the infamous ‘second-season syndrome’ after finishing 22nd and seven points adrift of safety last season.
However, they were one of two teams given a reprieve as Hereford United and Salisbury City were demoted from the Conference following financial difficulties, with Chester being the other club getting reinstated into the top tier of non-league football.
Like Dover, Dartford have also endured a difficult start to their Vanarama Conference Premier campaign this season – just picking up one win (a 2-1 win against AFC Telford United at Princes Park) in their opening nine games.
However, the Darts have not lost at home since their opening day 2-1 defeat to Wrexham, and most recently came from two goals down to earn a credible draw against high-flyers Eastleigh last week.
*Lpic1*But they do hold the joint-lowest goal-scoring record along with Welling and Alfreton Town with just 7 goals to their name, with last season’s top-scorer Elliot Bradbrook notching up three of those strikes.
Whites have suffered two comprehensive defeats in their last two league visits to Princes Park – losing 4-0 in the 2010/11 season before losing 3-1 in the following season – both in the Conference South.
Charlie Sheringham’s brace with further goals from Tom Champion and Danny Harris claimed a 4-0 win which all but ended Dover’s hopes for a play-off place before goals from Adam Green, Ryan Hayes and Bradbrook claimed a second successive home league win over Whites despite Argentinian player Agustín Battipiedi cancelling out Green’s opener.
The last league win at Princes Park dates back to *Link2* thanks to goals from Jon Wallis and Sammy Moore to claim their second successive win in their Ryman Premier League winning season under Andy Hessenthaler.
*Lpic2*However, Dover did record a comprehensive win of theirselves on their last visit to Dartford as goals from trialist Andre Blackman, Moses Ademola and an own goal from Tom Wellham *Link3* before losing to Ebbsfleet United in the final last season.
Entrance fees into Princes Park on Tuesday evening are £16 adult, £8 concession, £5 youths (aged 13-17) and just £2 for juniors (aged 5-12).
There will be a supporters’ club coach running to Dartford – click *Link1* for more information on how to book your spot on the coach now to avoid missing out on the big Kent derby.

*BS*Dover Athletic fell to their sixth defeat of the season as Macclesfield Town caught Whites out to clinch a narrow victory.*BF*
Chris Kinnear’s side were the better team at Crabble but it was Chris Holroyd’s late goal that won it for the Silkmen to leave Whites frustrated.
The result saw Dover drop one place to 20th in the Vanarama Conference Premier which leaves them just one point ahead of Dartford – their next opposition in a huge Kent derby encounter.

*Link1* on Wednesday evening courtesy of a Luisma Villa header and a brace from Luke Gambin in front of the BT Sport cameras.
Substitutes Christian Nanetti and Ricky Miller were denied by the crossbar late on in the game while joint top scorer Stefan Payne saw his early chance saved by Bees goalkeeper and August player of the month Graham Stack.
*Q1*Manager Chris Kinnear is wary of Macclesfield ahead of the game on Saturday. He said: “Macclesfield are eighth. They are an ex league club in a good catchment area and the type of team that lots of players want to play for.”
He added: “You can lose to anybody in this league and we are probably the least experienced side by far. We just have to make sure we keep on improving.”
Ricky Modeste still remains on the sidelines with an injury that he suffered against Eastleigh last month. Kinnear said: “We have missed Ricky, he gives us a bit of pace down the one side and he runs past people.”
Defender Sean Francis is also unavailable due to an injury he picked up in Dover’s first win of the season against Eastleigh.
Deadline day arrivals Connor Essam, Soloman Taiwo and Ricky Miller have all featured since joining the club. Essam and Taiwo are set to keep their places in the starting line up, while Miller is pushing for his first start for Whites since joining on loan from Luton Town.
*Lpic1*Kinnear could keep the same starting XI for the third game in a row, but may rotate his squad with the players only getting two days rest, meanwhile their opponents will have three.
Goalkeeper Mitchell Walker and the Dover defence will be looking to keep their first clean sheet of the season on Saturday. Their opponents have scored nine goals so far this campaign, conceding just six. Only Barnet, Kidderminster and Torquay have conceded less.
John Askey’s Macclesfield had an unbeaten August managing 12 points from six games (three wins and three draws).
Macclesfield Town, also known as The Silkmen, held second placed Halifax Town to a 1-1 draw at the Moss Rose stadium on Tuesday night.
They suffered their first defeat of the season in the Cheshire derby against Chester last Saturday, where John Rooney’s first goal of the season was enough to defeat Macclesfield.
Portuguese midfielder Adriano Moke is a major doubt after an injury he picked up in The Silkmen’s first defeat of the season.
Experienced midfielder Danny Whitaker is also a doubt for the game on Saturday, however he has been back in training this week. He last featured in the third game of the season against Woking.
New signings Will Haining and Domaine Rouse joined the club at the end of August and have both regularly featured for the club since joining. Haining has played in more than 250 Football League games including two years in his native Scotland with St Mirren.
Despite playing out two 0-0 games so far this season, The Silkmen have had seven different goal scores, with striker Waide Fairhurst top scorer with three goals in eight games.
Macclesfield Town signed Stoke duo Adam Thomas and Alex Grant on loan until the end of December. They both played for the under 21s for Stoke and are both eligible to play at the weekend.
Last campaign, The Silkmen finished a modest 15th position, which was 10 points above the drop zone and 16 points behind a play-off position.
In the 2012/2013 season, Macclesfield also finished in mid-table, finishing 11th with 63 points.
The Silkmen were relegated from the fourth tier of English football in the 2011/2012 season, finishing last with 37 points. They also achieved the unflattering statistic of the longest winless run, going 18 games without picking up three points that campaign.
*Lpic2*Last season’s top scorer for The Silkmen was Scott Boden, who netted 18 times for Macclesfield Town in his first permanent season at the club. However, he joined Conference rivals Halifax Town in July.
Last campaign, Macclesfield reached the FA Cup 3rd round and managed to take Championship club Sheffield Wednesday to a replay.
The Silkmen equalised in the second half with the game finishing 1-1 at the Moss Rose stadium. In the replay at Hillsborough, three goals in the last 12 minutes from Wednesday saw off John Askey’s spirited team.
Dover’s opponents on Saturday were Football League regulars from 2004/2005 until their relegation in the 2011/2012 season.
The two teams last met in the 1996/1997 Conference season where Dover picked up a 2-1 win.
The match at the weekend will not be segregated.

*BS*Dover Athletic were well beaten by an excellent Barnet, with Martin Allen’s side returning to the Vanarama Conference Premier summit.*BF*
Luisma Villa’s goal coupled with Luke Gambin’s brace secured the visitors’ seventh victory of the season as they made a big intent for the title.
However, Whites were not disgraced in front of the BT Sport cameras, with substitutes Ricky Miller and Christian Nanetti both hitting the bar in injury time.
The result means Barnet top the table with 21 points and two above FC Halifax Town – who were temporarily top – while Dover fall three places to 19th.
*Q1*Chris Kinnear spoke to doverathletic.com after his side’s 3-0 loss: “There is no doubt the quality they (Barnet) have got.
“We could have gone in front and Stefan (Payne) had a good chance to equalise as well. We also hit the bar a couple of times. It was just disappointing really, but we have to move on.”

Barnet lived up to their status of Conference leaders with a comprehensive victory over Whites at Crabble last night, running out 3-0 winners in front of the BT sport cameras.
Manager Chris Kinnear, though unhappy at losing, conceded that on this occasion the better team won. ‘There is no doubt the quality they have got’ said the manager. ‘We could have gone in front and Stefan (Payne) had a good chance to equalise as well. We also hit the bar a couple of times. It was just disappointing really, but we have to move on. *Q1*
As Dover continue to hover perilously close to the danger zone, Kinnear pointed out the fixture list has not been kind to his side thus far. ‘We have played six of the top eight in what has been a very, very difficult start. It has been a great learning experience, but we have to move on.’
Recent deadline day signings Connor Essam and Soloman Taiwo started, whilst Ricky Miller came off the bench in what was a difficult evening for the trio. Nonetheless, Chris is still pleased with his recent acquisitions. ‘They are decent players and we would not have signed them if we did not think so. It takes a while for them to bed in and get used to everything.’
Those three appear to have put his squad size over maximum capacity, but Kinnear is adamant he has the right number to cope with the demands of the next few months given the fact he will be unable to add to his ranks until January. ‘We do have quite a few, but saying that at Woking we had two YTS boys on the bench. Sometimes you think there are two many, but when you get a few injuries and suspensions you are then short. Again with the transfer deadline and not being able to sign anyone, we have to make sure we have signed people in case we need replacements.’
Fans will be looking to the next trio of games as prime opportunity to pull away from the bottom four, though Dover’s boss is warning caution against such thoughts,in particular looking ahead to the next game. ‘Macclesfield are eighth. They are an ex league club in a good catchment area and the type of team that lots of players want to play for. You can lose to anybody in this league and we are probably the least experienced side by far. We just have to make sure we keep on improving.’
Chris has nearly a fully fit squad with only winger Ricky Modeste missing due to injury. ‘We have missed Ricky’, said Chris. ‘He gives us a bit of pace down the one side and he runs past people – He has been very important since I have been here.’*Lpic1*
